Juli Szigeti

Singer

My musical journey began in Germany, after I continued my musical work in England. Afterwards I was lucky enough to move to China for a year, where I participated in two television talent shows (in Qingdao and Beijing). In both competitions, miraculously, I achieved third place. After the Chinese tours, I moved back home and founded my band, which now goes by the name Szigeti Juli, representing the 'electro swing' and 'pop' genres.

On our first album, joint productions with musicians and producers from the United States, Canada, Germany, and Hungary also found their place - which was then released under the supervision of the Berlin-based Electro Swing Thing. Three of our songs are continuously featured on the official Electro Swing playlist on Spotify, and it is a great pride that our listenership is slowly approaching 3 million.

Our concerts and songs can be viewed and listened to on popular social media portals, and our TV appearances were broadcasted on M1, Duna TV, and M2 Petőfi TV, while our songs, besides Spotify, have also been heard by listeners on Jazzy Rádió and Petőfi Rádió.

Patrícia Ladányi

Singer

After 13 years of dancing, I embarked on a musical career in 2008, starting vocal lessons. Between 2010 and 2012, I represented Hungary and won numerous awards at international music competitions and festivals. I continue to develop my musical skills and hold two degrees, with over 10 years of experience working in a multinational environment as a marketing communications expert.

The Hungarian audience might recognize me as the singer from the 2010 release, "Emlékezz Rám 2" by Children of Distance ft. Patty, and from the band's actively performing LIVE formation. I have lent my voice to over 40 songs, either as a lead or collaborator, working with more than 15 artists, groups, or bands. My songs have garnered over 31 million views on YouTube. As a versatile performer, I don't have a favorite genre; I am equally passionate about pop, jazz, and even metal.

Ildikó Geier

LEAD VOCALIST

I am a singer, actress, and English teacher. I fell in love with choral singing during elementary school and later pursued solo singing studies in classical music. It was during this time that I developed a passion for the operetta genre.
My love for pop music never waned, so I began singing professionally in foreign hotels, which was followed by a singing job on ocean liners. Five years ago, I moved back to Hungary and started working with Silverline Cruises. Here, I was able to fully realize my potential as I no longer had to choose between pop and operetta. I am proud to call myself a singer of both the folk and piano shows.

Tibor Taligás

Pianist

I have been playing the piano since I was five years old. I first studied classical music, then dance music, and jazz at the conservatory. I have been playing the piano for several decades at various events, parties, weddings, bars, and hotels in Norway, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and mostly in Switzerland. Unfortunately, I did not keep track of the many celebrities for whom I had the opportunity to play, but among them were kings, politicians, pop, jazz, and classical musicians, as well as world-famous actors.

My playing reflects the musical styles I love the most, and the audience also enjoys listening to them. To this day, I play a variety of musical styles; background music, entertaining and pop-dance music, salon and classical, swing, jazz, Latin, international evergreens—everything that can be played in a varied and sophisticated manner, and what the audience requests.

I am the president and dance instructor at the Royal Dance Sport Dance Association. I have been dancing for 28 years and teaching for 18 years. I graduated from an arts school as a dancer and mime artist, and I also completed a sports coaching school. Currently, I am involved in the education of nearly 100 children, from preschoolers to adults. I started teaching class dances 13 years ago, and I have had the opportunity to participate in concerts and radio roadshows as a dancer.

At the arts school, I explored almost every genre: ballet, jazz, modern dance, folk dance, historical ballroom dances, etc. Additionally, I competitively performed acrobatic rock and roll, but my current great love in dance, which I not only learned and perform but also teach, is hip-hop dance. Since 2023, I have been a member of the HuNKuN DaNCe ensemble, which has given me the opportunity to perform in the rock opera "István a Király" and the concert show "Szállj Fel Szabad Madár." I also joined the Silverline Cruises dance team in 2023.

It can be said that dance is everything to me! Whether it's Hungarian Folk Dance, Competitive Dance, or Fashion Dance. I have been dancing competitively since I was nine years old, which has allowed me to travel almost the entire world. I graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy in 2022 with a certified dance teacher's diploma. I have been dancing on the ship for five years, and I love it. I have been dancing with my partner for 12 years, mastering 15 different dance styles. Our Hungarian achievements include receiving the "Nívó Awarded Dancer" title from the Hungarian Fashion and Dance Sport Association every year from 2012 to 2018, and the "Dancer of the Year" award in junior and adult categories in 2014 and 2017. We were Hungarian champions in salsa and bachata from 2012 to 2020, and in the standard show category in 2017.

Some of our international achievements include placing 4th in the junior pair category at the famous Puerto Rican Salsa competition in 2016 and collecting a total of 78 gold, 26 silver, and 7 bronze medals in various dance categories at European and World Championships since 2014. Our greatest success was achieving 7th place in the salsa category at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw. Every year we participate in the World Latin Dance Cup – in the Miami and Orlando American competitions – where we always finish on the podium, achieving a first and third place in 2023. In 2022, we were happy to secure two third places in Cancun, Mexico.

Dance has been the focus of my life since childhood. I was 6 years old when I told my mother that I wanted to dance. I started attending a local show dance group, where I was completely captivated by this world. I already knew then that I wanted to do this as an adult. Later, I tried several styles, and in 2013 I graduated from an art school. Since then, I have been working as a freelance dance artist and organizer in folk dance and operetta genres. This has allowed me to participate in many productions both at home and abroad. In 2016, I joined Silverline as a dance artist and dance captain. Since then, with my small team, we strive every evening to give a little taste of the diversity of Hungarian folk dance.

I got acquainted with dance in elementary school, where we had a weekly 1-hour Swabian folk dance class. Later, at school, I tried hip-hop from 2006 to 2008. At that time, I did not yet realize that dance would be the one thing where I could fully express myself. When it came time to choose a career and I entered high school, I already knew that there was folk dance in the school I applied to, but it did not really interest me. Then, when I went to the freshman camp organized by the school, I had the opportunity to try Hungarian folk dance, and I could join the Gyöngyvirág Folk Dance Ensemble. I already felt then that this was what I had been longing for. In school, I met other young people who wanted to dance, and we formed a team called Walkers, where we learned and performed various street styles (Hip-Hop, Popping-Locking, Break, C-walk, Tutting, etc.). As the years went by, thanks to my dance teacher, I joined the Rajkó Artistic Ensemble, where I participated in regular performances.

In 2014, I became a member of the Hunkun dance ensemble, with which I managed to travel all over Hungary and even performed in Dubai. Simultaneously, since 2016, I have been with Silverline Cruises as a performing artist. Following this, I obtained my theater dancer qualification at the Budapest Dance Art Studio. In 2021, I started teaching Hip-Hop dance at the Royal Dance Dance Association. In the meantime, I have also had the opportunity to participate in several productions, such as the István a Király rock opera and the Szállj fel Szabadmadár concert show.
