The focus of this year’s World Press Photo exhibition, which can be visited for an unusually long period of 6 weeks, is on the most important events of the past year. Once again, the Hungarian National Museum serves as its home. The exhibition features a selection of thousands of photojournalistic and documentary images every year, so that you can see the best of them at this exhibition. Works sent from the African, Asian, European, North and Central American, South American, Southeast Asian, and Oceanian regions are evaluated.

The thought-provoking artworks reflect the significant events of 2022-23, which not only reveal what the past year was like but hopefully also serve as a compass for the years ahead. In contrast to the ARC poster exhibition mentioned in our previous article, this photo exhibition showcases a more serious, weighty, and global focus. We highly recommend you to visit the entire National Museum as well if you have time, as this museum gives you a thorough overview of our history.
