Our boat trip will allow you to enjoy a unique perspective of the city from the river Danube, while you uncover the hidden beauty of the riverbanks of both Buda and Pest.
Marvel at the engineering perfection of the bridges connecting both sides of city, such as the Elizabeth Bridge, Chain Bridge and Margaret Bridge. This Budapest cruise will embark next to Margaret Island giving you an opportunity to explore the island. Where you can see locals jogging, relaxing and enjoying the numerous facilities which Margaret Island has to offer. After this stop with a smooth turn around the Island, you will be able to feast your eyes on the attractions of the Buda side, some of which would be hard to reach on foot.
The route of the sightseeing tour
After leaving dock 11 you will pass by the Danube Promenade first – Vigadó Square. The cruise will sail under five very famous bridges, one of which is the Chain Bridge, the oldest one in the city, with the guardian lions from the street sides magnificently illuminated during the evening hours. Afterwards the stunning site of the Parliament and the lush landscape of Margaret Island awaits you. Turning south on the river the tour will continue to unveil the magnificent sights of the Buda side. The gorgeous towers of the Fisherman’s Bastion, which is part of the majestic Castle district, and the Castle Bazaar to name a few.
Passing under the white bridge, named after the Austro-Hungarian queen Sissy, Elisabeth Bridge the wonders of the Southern part of Budapest will be visible. On the top of the Gellért Hill stands the Statue of Liberty, complete with the Citadel, which is fun to hike to, but the better idea is to join us for a sightseeing boat trip on the river Danube. Passing under the Liberty Bridge you will spot the Central Market Hall at Fővám Square and Gellért Spa adjacent to the Hotel Gellért. Lastly our cruise will take you to the National Theatre where the boat turns back and returns towards Pier 11.
On your 60 minute ride on the cruise you will have a chance to have a nice glass of cold beer in the summer heat or a cup of tea in the winter months. Sightseeing boat trip is one of the best ways to see Budapest from a different point of view.
Buda and Pest in the Daylight
Budapest is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Europe, as it is located in the heart of the continent and it has a mix of cultures and a mix of centuries' architecture as well. Beautiful buildings located on the river bank pretending they are inaccessible with their majestic look. It’s a must to visit them on a bus tour or by walking around the city, but how can you really define them only from 1 single perspective? Standing in front of the castle makes you feel absolutely different, than having a look at the buildings from further away. Take a sightseeing tour on the Danube river and give them a chance to show you another side and atmosphere of their past-time message.
Sunset from the river
The sunset is one of the most romantic parts of the day. It is never boring, and the best part is that you can enjoy it every day (well, based on the weather, because it is hard to see it on a foggy or rainy day). Each city has a different face to show during the day, then during the sunset, until the sky becomes dark blue, and the buildings are all colored in gold, namely this is called the blue hour, just a few minutes before dusk. The Danube is already unforgettable during the day, imagine the colors when the sunset starts to paint the river golden with shining glitters.
Do you prefer sightseeing tours at night?
No problem as well, we offer you night cruises all year long in the center of Budapest, where the illuminated city shows its unique side. Take one of our sightseeing boat trips based on the Budapest sunset calendar and you can make sure to arrive for the best tour. It can be a perfect program just like a dessert after a nice, traditional Hungarian dinner spent in one of the famous restaurants in Budapest.
