Hungary celebrates the 20th anniversary of its EU accession with a free-to-attend urban mini-festival in Budapest from May 1st to 5th, whose program lineup is worthy of the European Union’s motto of “united in diversity.” The Hello Europe! Festival brings to life Budapest’s iconic locations, public spaces, and buildings in the spirit of freedom, Europeanness, and diversity. The Liberty Bridge will be open again for public pedestrian use, and we can enjoy a free concert featuring the greatest Hungarian hits of the past 20 years.

Season Opening Beer Festival at Corvin Promenade

Season Opening Beer Festival on Corvin Promenade. This year, more than 30 craft breweries will represent themselves to enchant lovers of the craft beer genre with nearly 100 types of beer. Whether you’re into fruity spices, IPAs, or authentic Czech beers, you’ll surely find your heart’s delight among the foamy golds of the Beer Festival. Our exhibitors also prepare delicious beer snacks to accompany the frothy beverages. The festival as always, takes place behind the Corvin Plaza on the Corvin Promenade and will last for 5 days. On launch day the festival opens at 4 pm. On the other days the stalls open at noon.

Tour de Hongrie – Etap 4: Budapest

The 4th etap of the Tour de Hongrie 2024 is origanised in downtown Budapest.
A particularly tricky stage awaits the Tour de Hongrie peloton on May 11th. From Heroes’ Square, the caravan’s route leads towards Andrássy Avenue, the Chain Bridge, and the Castle Garden Bazaar before leaving the capital, heading towards the hills of Etyek via the Budapest-Balaton Bicycle Path.
If you are not a big fan of cycling, or simply you do not wish to participate on this event, then please take note as the areas mentioned in the detailed itinerary might interfere with your sightseeing plan for a short duration.
